James Goble, Pulaski County Solid Waste District

TOPIC: Welcoming Remarks

James Goble received a BBA from the University of Iowa "64", a MBA from Webster University "82", and a MS in Environmental Management from Webster University in 2002. He enlisted in the United States Air Force and completed Officer Candidate School receiving a commissioned in as a Regular Officer. He completed flight school, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff and Air War College. He resigned his commission in 1974 with the rank of Major. During this period, he flew over 5,000 hours in B-52 D, F, G, and H's and completed two tours of duty as a radar officer in both Vietnam and Thailand. He has combat mission in both the C119 gunship and B-52 D "BUFF". In 1974 he was employed by Arkansas Part Warehouse as an auto parts salesman. When the company sold out in 1989 to Part Warehouse, he joined the Pulaski County Sheriff Department and was commissioned a deputy, a rank he currently holds. In 1993, he was hired by the newly formed Pulaski County Regional Solid Waste Management District as the Director of Inter-District Waste Tire, a position he is currently employed.
