| Willie Lau was born in Hong Kong and attended colleges in the
United States, receiving his B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from University
of Nebraska and Indiana University in 1974 and 1982, respectively.
After a post-doctoral appointment, he joined Rohm and Haas in 1984
in the Polymers and Resins Synthesis division. His tenure at Rohm
and Haas covers both product development and exploratory research
in polymer synthesis and designing of new polymeric materials. He
was a research fellow in the Paint Coatings Materials Division,
responsible in the development of new chemistries and technologies
that can impact broadly across the businesses.
With the recent merger between Rohm and Haas Company and The
Dow Chemical Company, Willie is now with the Building and Construction
division of Dow Advanced Materials. |
